800 small Christmas trees have been built into a village out of more than 500 kg of gingerbread. A Formula One Grand Prix will be this year's addition, created by EPICURE's award-winning ( Executive Pastry Chef Deniz Karaca ) and his amazing crew, who have spent months realizing their gingerbread village vision.

5. Myer Christmas Windows

Christmas window displays have been a tradition at the Myer department store for 60 years. Seeing animated puppets and moving scenes bring Christmas tales and fairy tales to life while people wait in line on Bourke Street Mall has become a Melbourne tradition.

Little Dog and the Christmas Wish, a children's tale from Australia, is being adapted for the windows this year. The story centers on a little puppy that becomes lost on the streets of 1950s Melbourne, a setting that has been carefully recreated by the artists over the course of a full year.
